Compliance West MegaPulse 10x700/1.5x25-2 Telephone Surge Tester, TE001

MegaPulse 10x700/1.5x25-2 15ohm - Designed to generate the surge test described in Paras. 17.1.4.2 and 17.1.4.3 of TE001. The peak output pulse voltage is 2kV. The output voltage (open circuit) waveform is 10 uSec rise time by 700 uSec duration and the current (short circuit) waveform is 1.5 uSec rise time by 25 uSec duration. The output impedance of the MegaPulse is 15 ohms. A front-panel button provides reversal of output polarity. To test, the front panel voltage meter is adjusted to the highest voltage that does not turn on the primary or secondary protection (approx. 1kV-2kV)

• Generates the waveforms required by TE001, Paragraph 17.1.4, for testing Lightning Protection capabilities of TLTE in accordance with other subparagraphs of Paragraph 17.
• Designed with operator safety in mind: Set up the EUT to the right and behind the tester, and a right-handed operator will find himself standing to the left of the tester, allowing maximum separation.
• Theoretical graphs and actual graphs showing the output of your tester are included with each MegaPulse, allowing easy sanity checks and proof to visiting agency engineers of test setups.
• Reverse polarity waveforms available by pushing a button on the front panel. No need to change the test setup. Positive polarity indication minimizes errors.
• Front panel voltage meter shows residual voltage in charging circuit for safer operation.
