Compliance West HT1000DC Special-Use Hipot Tester

Condition: Brand New

The Compliance West HT1000DC is a DC only tester, with the ability to deliver up to 5mA to the EUT. Leakage current limits can be set with the rear panel knob from 0.25mA to 5mA. The tester stops testing when a leakage current greater than the set amount or when a dielectric breakdown is encountered. When testing stops due to a failure, the output voltage returns to zero and a buzzer sounds.

Features:

  • Special-use DC only tester
  • Delivers up to 5mA to the EUT
  • Leakage current limits can be set with the rear panel knob from 0.25mA to 5mA.
  • The tester stops testing when a leakage current greater than the set amount or when a dielectric breakdown is encountered. When testing stops due to a failure, the output voltage returns to zero and a buzzer sounds.
  • Voltage can be set from the front panel
  • Provided with test leads terminated in alligator clips
  • Calibration certificate
  • One year warranty on parts and labor

    Special Applications:

    • Regarding the ripple current in DC hipot testers, lower ripple requires larger filter capacitors, which store more power that is normally used to smooth the rectified waveform. In the case of a hipot tester, this stored power has the side effect of discharging into the EUT in the event of a failure. In order to keep the power that must be absorbed by the EUT within reasonable limits, we have struck a balance between lower ripple and excessive power. If your requirements dictate lower ripple, please let us know and we can quote accordingly. As a final note, we can build the tester to use 3 phase power to improve ripple and not increase the size of the filter capacitors.
